Short version of what this site is, and what it is not.
We do not do drainage work
Draind is not a drainage company. Nobody here will attend your property. The site exists to put your enquiry in front of companies who do the work.
The guidance here is general
Everything written on this site describes how drainage problems usually behave. Your drain may not be usual. Nobody can tell you what is wrong with a specific pipe without looking at it, and no page on the internet can replace that.
Whose drain it is
We explain the general rule about private drains and public sewers because it saves people money. It is a general rule. Boundaries, shared runs and older properties complicate it. Your water company will tell you which applies to you, and they are the ones who decide, not us.
If it is an emergency
If waste water or sewage is coming back into the building, do not wait on a form or on a web page. Ring drainage companies directly, and ring your water company as well if you think the blockage is outside your boundary.
Companies listed or contacted through this site
We do not inspect the companies who receive enquiries, and we do not approve or accredit them. Check qualifications, insurance and reviews yourself before you let anyone start work, exactly as you would with any trade.
Prices
Any price range mentioned on this site is a general guide taken from published sources. It is not a quote and it is not binding on anybody. The only price that counts is the one you are given for your job.
