This page says what happens to your details when you use draind.co.uk. It is written in plain words rather than legal ones.

Who we are

Draind is a website at draind.co.uk. It passes drainage enquiries to drainage companies. We are not a drainage company. We do not visit properties, we do not do the work, and we do not quote for it.

For anything about your details, email info@draind.co.uk.

What we collect

Only what you type into the quote form:

• Your postcode. So the enquiry goes to companies who cover your area.
• What the problem is. Chosen from a list.
• Your name and phone number. So a company can ring you back.
• Your email address. Optional.
• Anything else you write in the details box. Optional.

There is no account to create and we never ask for payment details.

Our web host also keeps standard server logs, which include the IP address and browser of anyone visiting any website. That is normal for every site on the internet and we do not use those logs to identify you.

Why we have it

Because you filled in the form asking to be contacted. Your details are used to get you quotes for the drainage work you described, and for nothing else.

Who we pass it to

• Drainage companies covering your postcode. That is the point of the form. They contact you directly.
• Our web host, because the enquiry is stored on the website.

We do not sell your details, we do not add you to a marketing list, and we do not pass them to anyone outside the reason you gave them.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies for visitors. There is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind on it. That is why you are not being asked to accept anything. If that ever changes, this page will be updated to say so before it does.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while they are useful, which means long enough to pass them on and to sort out any question about the job afterwards. Ask us to delete yours and we will.

What you can ask for

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

• Send you a copy of what we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Delete it.
• Stop using it.

If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this page

If how we handle your details changes, this page changes with it.
